Elementary School District 159 Meeting of the Board of Education Committee of the Whole Meeting, originally scheduled to be held at Colin Powell Middle School, will now be held via a Zoom Webinar. The Matteson Elementary School District 159 Board of Education is conducting its search for a new superintendent with the assistance of the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB).

We know that the last 20 months have been tough, but we’re excited to get back to in-person learning this fall. However, we are committed to taking the steps necessary to help us provide a safe educational process.

Effective Monday, September 27, 2021 Elementary School District 159 will discontinue Crisis Go parent notification until further notice. We take the safety and education of all students very seriously. With this in mind, we will continue to screen all students for COVID symptoms and follow IDPH recommendations.

Elementary School District 159 COVID-19 Health Services Plan and Resource Guide for Parents

On behalf of the School District, I want to thank you so much for your patience and understanding during our student transportation crisis. As you all know, the shortage of bus drivers is a national crisis effecting students and their families throughout the country.

We will begin lining up for the parade at 10am at Colin Powell Middle School, located at 20600 Matteson, Ave. Fun activities, book bags and food give-away will follow the parade.
