Cold Weather Recess Information Ideally, recess should take place outdoors on school grounds as weather, space and safety permits. Outdoor recess allows children to get fresh air and provides an opportunity for children to engage in moderate to vigorous physical activity.

Mask Wearing Now Optional Greetings ESD 159 Families,Last Friday evening, State Superintendent, Carmen Ayala, sent out a correspondence announcing the governor’s decision to make mask optional for all schools and school districts starting February 28th. The District will no longer require anyone to wear a mask but is highly recommending all students, staff and visitors to continue masking. The District will continue to exclude those individual testing positive for COVID 19.
