Greetings Elementary School District 159 staff families and Community are our November announcement during the month of October I'm at nice family in our community safety for we had with our start with hello campaign district-wide Skyler staff and family members joined and reciting the pledge and hosted programs to combat bullying check out our videos on our Facebook page at elementary school 9 mark your calendar November is going to be at another busy month our school district will be closer to 7 we will also be closed on November 10th as we celebrate Veterans Day women's unselfishly serve our country our Middle School is the namesake of the lake race colon who was a veteran and the first African American of the United States Secretary of State We Salute every veteran employee parent + 3 I'm feeling better I really understand your sacrifice and again thank you for your service Sunday November 14th we will hold our first quarter Awards assembly honor our Scholars and staff for their commitment to learning teaching and the mission of our school district assembly will be held at Kohl's at 6 p.m. we hope to see you there you are invited to attend the next Board of Education meeting Wednesday November 15th Open session begins promptly at 7:30 the mid-term of course progress report will be sent home on November 17th in celebration of the Thanksgiving holidays from November 20th through November 24th new to this school year is our genius week during the week of December 4th through December 7th is steam team will host professional in various steam field who will share their passion and experiences with our program will give our Scholars and in-depth views of the many career opportunities available to them in the field of science technology engineering art and math lookout for more information in the next week can you please sign up to share your Genius on December 13th we will compose first curriculum open house 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at this inaugural event will give me an opportunity to Scholars classroom and the instruction provided by hour by hour more information will be provided over the next week about this event as well as we enter the season of Thanksgiving I want to saying I am thankful for our Board of Education and the employees of this is awesome coolest Scholars and their families thank you once again for your aunt going support as we continue thrive
