District Vision and Mission

Our new Mission, Vision and Core Values were established in a workshop setting with eleven stakeholders and facilitated by Shelia Friday, project manager for the development of the strategic plan. The diverse members of the Strategic Mission and Vision Team included community members, parents, district administrators and staff, and a representative from Rich Township High School District 227.

District 159 Celebrates 150 Years

District 159 celebrates its 150th Anniversary, with a day of reflection, fun and give aways, to help prepare students for the start of the 2019-20 school year. The day was kicked-off with a parade, followed by speakers who reflected on the districts history, music by Southland College Prep band and continued with fun filled activities for students and a resource fair for adults.

Registration is by appointment only. Please call your child’s school to schedule an appointment and receive additional information.

There will be no registration on the first day of school.

Registration for the 2019-2020 school year will be held at Colin Powell Middle School on Tuesday, July 30th through Thursday, August 1st.
