COVID-19 Update Nov. 13th

On Wednesday, November 11th the IDPH recommended that:
“Illinois residents should work from home whenever possible and participate only in essential activities over the next three weeks — including the Thanksgiving holiday period — as coronavirus trends continue in the wrong direction.” For additional information click above on "COVID-19 Update Nov.13th"

Remote Learning Update - Oct. 15th

In view of the fact that the COVID-19 positivity and transmission rates are increasing within our communities, our District is taking a measured and cautious approach toward a return to in-person learning. At our Board of Education meeting on October 14, 2020, it was recommended that we remain in Remote Learning until January 2021. Click on link for more....

Welcome Back To School!

Elementary School District 159 school-year begins on Monday, August 24th with our Remote Learning Model. Pre-K morning classes are 8:45 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. Pre-K afternoon classes are 12:15 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. All elementary school classes are from 9:00 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. Colin Powell Middle School classes are from 8:30 a.m. until 2:20 p.m. If you need Tech Support email, Click on Read FULL Story for details.

2020-2021 School Year to Begin with Remote Learning

After consultation with Illinois Department of Public Health and careful consideration of the health and safety of students and staff, Elementary School District 159 have made the decision to begin the 2020-2021 school year with remote learning for all students. In addition, the first day of lessons has been delayed until August 24.
