The 2026-2027 School year for students will begin on Monday, August 24th

Welcome to the start of another exciting school year in Elementary School District 159! It is with great enthusiasm and gratitude that I welcome each of you back for what promises to be an extraordinary year of learning, growth, and opportunity.

On Saturday, August 22nd at Colin Powell Middle School, the Mobile School-Based Health Clinic will be onsite offering school and sports physicals as well as vaccinations. Click on link for details

ESD 159 Board of Education invites you to the naming ceremony of the media center at Marya Yates Elementary School. The center will be named in honor of former teacher and coach Mr. Darryl Henderson. The event will take place at Marya Yates on Sept. 11th, 2026 from 1:00pm - 2:00pm.
