Make-up Assignment Policy

Students who have excused absences have one day for each day of absence to make up missing assignments.  It is the responsibility of the student to ask for the assignments.  Parents should make it clear to the student that being absent does not exempt them from completing assignments.  If a student is absent for three or more days, the parent should contact the main office to make arrangements to pick up make-up assignments.

In order to cover the extensive 8th grade curriculum in one year and prepare students for the Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT), every minute of class time is needed.  Students who are frequently absent will find it difficult to make up past assignments at the same time the rest of the class is moving on to new material.

Late Assignment Policy

All students are expected to complete all assignments on time.  Late assignments will not be accepted.
