District Band

Welcome to all Band Members and Parents!  We are glad to have you as part of the School District 159 Band Family and we hope that you will find your musical experience both educational and fun.  To returning members and parents, we know you are very proud of how much you have accomplished and how much you have learned so far.  Just imagine what the future holds.

 Music instruction provides training for students that benefits them in everything they do socially, educationally, and psychologically.  We currently have so much research about the positive affects of music; here are a few items that might interest you:

We are looking forward to your child participating in the District 159 Band Program.  We are excited about the growth, progress, and maturity your child will experience.  Of course, this cannot be possible without your parental support and involvement.  If we work hard together at being good musicians and citizens, we will be an outstanding group this year!
